In this highly visible role, you will manage administrative and reception functions of the kennel office; manage and track the flow of dogs into and out of the Canine Welfare/Neonatal Department---s care; and generate reports regarding kennel populations and health trends to assist in defining issues and forecasting needs. Your keen attention to detail and expert organizational skills will ensure our high standards of service for Guide Dog staff and clients, as well as the day-to-day operations of the kennel office. A hands-on team player, you will occasionally work in the kennels, with volunteers, and with the dogs as needed. The qualifications you---ll need: Minimum of two years of administrative experience preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook); Salesforce a plus Ability to communicate with a diverse constituency where sensitivity and confidentiality are critical Ability to lead others and work as a member of a team Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and handle a variety of large-breed dogs weighing up to 90 pounds Experience caring for dogs in a kennel or vet environment helpful What sets us apart?
