BioMarins Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarins cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients. SUMMARYFacilities Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of assigned BioMarin buildings to ensure a safe and functional working environment for BioMarin Employees, contractors, and tenants. Will be available to assist any person ordepartment requiring service on campus. Will use CMMS to plan and document maintenance and repairs including Equipment PMs, Repair Work Orders, and Service Requests submitted by employees around campus. Will perform and/orcoordinate Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual preventative maintenance inspections on vital building equipment and systems to ensure proper function, including RODIpurified water systems andassociated equipment, plant steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum systems, chillers, HVAC units andassociated equipment, HHW boilers, and other miscellaneous equipment. Thispositioncan also manage and coordinate small projects that may be conducted by outside vendors. This may include budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with employee groups impacted by the planned work, and overall management of the project.RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily visual checks of all Utility Equipment; record data where necessary Check and update CMMS daily; Create work orders (WOs) when necessary Complete Equipment PMs and prepare associated paperwork to submit in CMMS Complete Service Requests (SRWOs) and Repair WOs in CMMS at MECHTECH level Communicate with Facilities team when necessary to ensure completion of all assigned SRWOs and WOs Suggest improvements to PM structure and scheduling in CMMS Timely responsiveness to email requests by employees and/or service providers Troubleshoot Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Life Safety System problems Maintain NLight and Lutron Lighting Systems; make changes when necessary Coordinate and escort outside service providers as needed for repairs, maintenance, or job-walks Perform safety oversight duties when outside service providers are working on company property Provide training to other team members and lead meetings in areas of expertise BERT member; work closely with EHS&S Primary Emergency responder when necessary Key member of campus projects; communicate proposed changes with CFE managementRespond to other campus locations as needed, including Petaluma and Brisbane PLEASE NOTE: Absent a Medical or Religious reason that prohibits vaccinations, all our incoming employees must be vaccinated for COVID-19. In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 50,200 to $ 75,400 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
