$147,160 to $178,901 DOQE, Including a full benefits package withMCERA Retirement.Description:The County of Marin is conducting a statewide and national searchto attract highly experienced engineering professionals wishingto join a robust and high-performance organization. The Countyseeks to hire three Principal Civil Engineers, each reporting toan Assistant Director of Public Works and functioning as thefollowing division heads: Principal Civil Engineer (Traffic andTransportation Planning); Principal Civil Engineer (Engineering);and Principal Civil Engineer (Flood Control & Water ConservationDistrict). The salary range for these positions is $147,160 to$178,901. Placement within the range will be based on careerexperience and overall qualifications of the selected candidate.The County also offers a full benefits package, including MCERARetirement.Qualifications:These positions require a Bachelor's degree in engineering or aclosely related field and 5 years of increasingly responsibleprofessional engineering experience. At least 2 years of therequired professional experience must have included functioningin a supervising capacity. Possession of registration as a PE(civil) in the State of California is required at time ofsubmittal. For out-of-state candidates, an exception may begranted for highly qualified individuals in this specific careerfield if they are currently holding an active out-of-state PE(civil) license. This will allow the selected candidate to obtainthe PE (civil) equivalent license in California as a condition ofcontinued employment with the County. PE license must be awardedprior to the first anniversary date of employment.
