Position:We are looking for a highly organized drafting manger that produces quality work while also demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to manage production workflow and progress towards deliverables. As the manager overseeing multiple projects and the draftsman, this is a great opportunity to build and grow a great team. -Applicants will work closely with the principal designer, city and county planning departments, team members and drafting designs and making alterations per clients' request. Responsibilities:

• Manage architectural plans and the development of drafting personnel
• Coordinate the collection of redlines and incorporate information into drawings
• Collaborate with the project management team, architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors regarding design revisions and finalization
• Juggle multiple projects and deadlines for various project sizes and clients
• Prepare documents for entitlements by regulatory authorities, i.e. building permit applications, energy compliance forms, green building, etc.
• Design research for clients and developing of construction detailing
• Prepare and review schematic designs for code and program compliance along with the project team
• Producing high quality project design deliverables and construction documents
• Visiting the cities building departments to acquire information pertaining to the job site
• Assemble design drawings and documents for city approval
• Perform CAD/BIM support-drafting, plotting, record documentsQualifications:
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Rivet, BIM, Microsoft office,
  • Prior management skills
  • Knows California residential building codes
  • Understanding of residential construction and building from the ground up
  • Critical eye for ensuring all construction drawings and presentation documents is thoroughly detailed, communitive, and aesthetically pleasing, extra plus if achieved with minimal comments from city
  • Good communication skills, strong organization and people skills
  • Interior Design experience a plus
  • Minimum 4 years
  • Has prior experience in Design or Architectural industryCompensation:Competitive salary, health insurance, company contribution to 401k plan, and paid vacation. Dog friendly office.
