Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. Within Customer Care, PG&Es Customer Energy Solutions department (CES) is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering customer demand side management programs, including energy efficiency, distributed generation, demand response, and rate programs that help PG&E customers in Northern and Central California manage the energy use of their homes and businesses.Position Summary The Principal Program Manager will develop and execute a cross-functional strategy to increase the customer satisfaction of Low to Moderate Income customers through leveraging PG&E and third-party programs, as well as partnerships with community-based organizations. The successful candidate will work with external and internal stakeholders to create holistic engagement strategies that can be deployed, measured, and tracked for effective outcomes in connecting with hard-to-reach, tribal, disadvantaged communities and low to moderate income customers. Community based organizations (CBOs) are valued partners in ensuring that we increase awareness of and access to all our programs. This role will enhance our Customer Care CBO engagement strategies and build a roadmap to achieve best in class partnerships and outcomes in collaboration with customer care program leads and other business partners. The position is hybrid working from your home office and assigned work location. Occasional in-person work may be required as business needs dictate. Job ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to:

  • Lead cross-functional team and act as central point of contact for Customer Care in understanding low to moderate income segment, including assessing program needs, deploying strategies, and evaluating outcomes
  • Develop strategies to increase customer satisfaction in the low to moderate income segment through collaborative problem solving with leaders across Customer Care
  • Lead internal database development and tracking of all existing CBO relationships for Customer Care
  • Develop strategies to leverage the Quorum CBO database to communicate with and enhance PG&Es communication approaches with these important community partners
  • Collaborate internally and externally to identify effective CBOs best positioned to assist PG&E in engaging vulnerable and hard-to-reach customers
  • Working with CBOs and internal program leads, develop robust tracking and reporting framework to capture outcomes, challenges, and successes of CBO partnerships and pilots that can be shared internally and externally
  • Collaborate with the Customer Care Public Safety Power Shut-off team to meet compliance requirements related to CBO outreach
  • Coordinate with the State and Regulatory Affairs teams (Local, State, Community Relations) and Federal Affairs on initiatives
  • Plan and facilitate complex and sensitive stakeholder meetings for project coordination and advocacy to support strategic objectives
  • Liaison with the CPUC, other CA IOUs, and other stakeholders to share information and best practices, collaborate, and report on PG&Es CBO efforts and outcomes Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Ability to motivate a diverse cross-functional team toward achieving common goals
    • Strong presentation and writing skills, including ability to represent PG&E in public and industry forums as a Subject Matter expert
    • Competency in maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics
    • Ability to apply project management theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level
    • Competency in anticipating future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategiesQualificationsMinimum:
