Read on to find out more about this opportunity:ABOUT THE MARIN CENTER: As the major performing arts, events center, and fairgrounds in Marin County, Marin Center serves the community by presenting and expanding a variety of multi-cultural theater presentations, affordable rental venues, and professional expertise. Bringing art, music, dance, and performance of all kinds to audiences around the Bay, attendees also enjoy visiting the beautiful Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium inspired by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the Events Operations Manager, Incumbents in this contingent (temporary) position perform front of house operations necessary to ensure excellence in customer service, safety and comfort for all individuals who attend performances and events at the Marin Center. The incumbent will be expected to regularly attend scheduled events and pre-event meetings, provide direction as needed to assigned staff and volunteers, concessionaires, security and other event vendors and performs basic maintenance and troubleshooting of ticket scanner system. Additionally, the Front of House Manager reports disturbances, injury, safety hazards and operational deficiencies to leadership. The Front of House manager takes a lead role in coordinating responses to emergencies, including fires, earthquakes and medical emergencies. The incumbent will be expected to complete post-event reports in Marin Center's event booking software and follow up on patron issues with the Events Operations Manager.Incumbents can anticipate 10-40 hours per month depending on scheduled events. ABOUT YOU THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE: One year of house management or event coordination experience in an auditorium, theater, fairground or similar public facility. HIGHLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATE STATEMENT: The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in a front-of house theatre position or with event coordination at a similar venue or has worked in customer relations at large events with a diverse population. They possess exemplary customer service skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment can remain calm under pressure. They have familiarity with event management software and general computer skills.
