We are hiring Water Resources Project Managers in multiple
BKF Engineers is looking for a civil engineer with expertise in
water resources, specifically pipeline design for water,
wastewater, and storm drain infrastructure. Projects include
stand-alone municipal infrastructure improvements as well as
support for site development projects for residential, commercial,
mixed-use, medical, educational, and transportation improvements.
Able to work from Redwood City, Pleasanton or San Francisco
Technical: Pipeline design experience for water, wastewater and
storm drain systems from the ground up. Pipe condition assessment,
retrofit, new design, hydraulic modeling, pipeline design, control
valves. Preparation of contract documents (plans, specifications,
and cost estimates), and provide design services during bidding and
construction. Work closely with sub-consultants (geotechnical and
structural engineers), as needed. Prepare technical sections of
proposals and participate in interview presentations. Review and
supervise technical aspects of work. Oversee design approach and
project delivery. Provide quality control reviews.
Management & Marketing: Represent BKF in communications with the
client from initial marketing efforts through entire course of
agreement activity. Communicate regularly with the assigned BKF
Principal and Water Resources group leader relative to project
status and performance. Manage all aspects of assigned BKF project.
Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced staff members
and coordinate staff resources with other groups.
10+ years of experience preferred
B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited
Curriculum or equivalent, plus appropriate continuing
Must have a Professional Engineering license in the State of
Must have strong technical experience delivering detailed designs,
plans, and specifications for municipal and private utility
infrastructure projects, including pipeline design for potable
water, recycled water, wastewater, and storm drain systems.
Experience in designing pressure and gravity pipe systems, as well
as large diameter pipelines is preferred.
Experience with permitting for California projects is a strong
