Management Position Summary The La Vida Dominican Project Director
works closely with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and
affiliated faculty and staff of La Vida Dominican program and the
Dominican campus to oversee and coordinate project activities and
integrate holistic support services for students and community into
Dominican planning and processes. The Project Director will
facilitate and support outreach and programmatic efforts to
increase the access, retention and transfer of Latinx, first
generation, and low-income students; train, supervise and evaluate
the performance of assigned staff. The Project Director also
oversees and evaluates the Title V Hispanic Serving Institution
Project grant activities, goals and objectives in collaboration
with other project personnel, key faculty, staff, students,
community partners and the external evaluator. The Project Director
will maintain effective communication and oversight of grant
activity with all stakeholders to ensure that project operations
are in compliance with Federal Education Department mandates and
meet Dominican institutional goals; and, oversees the completion of
these activities and ensures budget compliance and timely compiling
of Time and Effort reports by the faculty and staff. Higher salary
available for extremely qualified candidates that meet all required
and preferred qualifications. Responsibilities Provide leadership
in the administration of the grant consistent with grant
application; act as liaison between Department of Education and
Dominican to facilitate grant programming and comply with federal
regulations Collaborate with units across campus, including
applicable Academic Affairs units, Admissions, Student Affairs, and
Advancement to integrate and offer services Collaborate with
existing Community Partners on the direction of program development
Coordinate and oversee project activities; detailed tracking and
documentation of project progress; proactive communication of
current status to various constituents Support outreach and
programmatic efforts to increase the access, retention and transfer
of Latinx and low-income students Train, supervise and evaluate the
performance of assigned staff Collaborate with and oversee assigned
faculty fellow, Integrative Coaches, and Peer Mentors Oversee the
coordination of services to students who participate in program
activities Ensure accurate documentation of grant fiscal records,
student records and evaluation data Collaborate with internal and
external evaluators to assess program effectiveness and develop
reports Perform other grant management duties as assigned Required
Qualifications Master---s degree in education, student affairs
administration, social sciences, counseling or related field 3-5
years--- experience in a leadership role in higher education or
similar setting experience working with Latinx community
organizations Increasingly responsible professional experience in
student or constituent services including development,
implementation and/or management of grants, staff management and
budget oversight Experience with training, supervising and
evaluating the performance of assigned staff Establish and maintain
cooperative and effective working relationships with colleagues,
students and families Organized, with an attention to detail
regarding the maintenance of a variety of reports, records and
files related to assigned activities Demonstrate sensitivity to,
and respect for a diverse population Excellent writing and verbal
and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills with the
ability to prioritize, manage multiple demands, meet deadlines and
maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience working with Microsoft Office and Google Suites
Familiarity with campus processes, protocols, and procedures
Ability to learn new processes with minimal supervision Preferred
Qualifications Ability to speak and write in Spanish Demonstrated
knowledge of key approaches in community engagement, student
success, and more Experience with data collection, analysis, and
presentation for program evaluation Experience with grant or
project management Additional Position Information Priority will be
