Bayside Marin provides personalized care to adults who have been struggling with addiction and certain co-occurring mental health challenges.

Bayside Marin is looking for an Assistant Clinical Director who will be working to support the Clinical Director in the effectiveness of the facility's program.

Pay Range: $41.47 to $62.21 an hour

    PURPOSE STATEMENT:

    The span of responsibilities is broad and may support up to several clinical services depending on scope and complexity. Incumbent will be responsible for integrating a mental health and substance use frame work, rather than the "Old Addiction mindset.", and plan, implement, and coordinate the clinical services offered by the facility. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, assisting Clinical Director with delegated responsibilities and/or acting in Clinical Director's absence upon delegation.

    Major duties will include the ability to function with a degree of fluidity, where certain duties may evolve or change, depending on the needs of the department. These departmental changes and resulting changes in duties will not necessarily include changes to the title or grade of the position.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    - Develop and maintain administrative and clinical operations that provide quality care and outcomes for the patients.

    - Contribute to the planning and implementation of program goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment. Implement the approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.

    - Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. Work may involve directing counselors, clinical staff or other facility / clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program. Provides management and oversight for the facility program.

    - Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient operations of the program; continually identify opportunities to improve program's efficiency; coordinate care delivery, work flow; oversee scheduling, registration, discharge and billing processes for the person(s) receiving services according to facility / clinic procedure.

    - Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

    - Responsible for an assigned caseload.

    - Monitor staff schedules to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are available to facilitate care in a timely manner.

    - Develop and implement treatment plans, develop and maintain and audit charts and records for person(s) receiving services.

    - Serve as liaison and provides consultation with other staff on related issues, regulations, and standards pertaining to area of clinical specialty.

    - Assist in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures for the program or organization; ensures that procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocol, regulations, and standards of care; ensures that operations conform to established environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.

    - Provide outreach services in area of clinical specialty, as needed.

    - Support compliance by adherence to accreditation standards as well as standards of funding agencies and licensing boards.

    - Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

    OTHER FUNCTIONS:

    - Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    - Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Psychiatric Nursing required.

    - Five or more years' experience in behavioral health services with clinical experience with all target populations (SMI, SED, DD, SUD) required.

    - Three or more years' supervisory experience required.

    - Management or administration experience and/or three years work experience in Utilization Management required.

    LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

    - Meet DWMHA credentialing requirements for professional practice Masters Level licensed behavioral health professional as QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) CMHP (Child Mental Health Professional), and QMRP (Qualified Mental Retardation Professional).

    - Must possess a full license in one of the following disciplines: LLP/LP, LPC, LMSW, NP/RN.

    - Valid driver's license, if required by the facility.

    - CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

    - First aid may be required based on state or facility.
