variety of disciplines.About the RoleThe Sourcing Manager - Roku
1PTV, will work with Roku's Strategic Sourcing, Operations,
Supplier Quality and Engineering teams to discover, develop, and
manage a supply base to provide cost-effective products and ensure
supply continuity.What you'll be doing
- Perform costed BOM analysis for both Roku made TVs and
tear-down competitive products, collaborate with component
engineering and component sourcing managers to propose alternative
design/vendor options to lower cost.
- Build relationships with TV ODM/JDM. Develop and negotiate a
new business model for Roku managed vs TV ODM/JDM managed
components. Negotiate component management strategy and component
pricing to enable cost optimization for TV ODM/JDM managed
parts.
- Build cost management process and strategy. Review and
negotiate claims and to minimize Roku's liability.
- Build a bottoms-up cost model for MVA. Identify and negotiate
cost reduction opportunities in MVA.
- Collaborate with Operations and engineering teams to perform
market analysis on TV ODM/JDM capabilities and cost analysis for
new TV ODM/JDM sourcing decisions, including multi-source
activities.
- Maintain ongoing assessment activities of the supplier base to
determine future viability based on employed technology, upstream
supply chain, manufacturing model, and financial health.
- Establish monthly/quarterly cost review and negotiation process
with TV ODMs/JDMs.
- Collaborate with logistics team to negotiate freight and
transportation costs.
- Conduct formal business reviews with TV ODM/JDM partners.
- Negotiate master agreements and SOWs with TV ODM/JDM
partnersWe're excited if you have
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Business
Management, Supply Chain or related field. MBA preferred.
- 2+ years of ODM/JDM Management, Supply, Sourcing Management or
Supply Chain Management experience in consumer electronics.
- Expertise in TV manufacturing. Industry knowledge and
connection with key TV ODMs/JDMs.
- Strong business judgment, including the ability to anticipate
the impact of decisions & initiatives.
- Capacity to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and
resiliencies when faced with challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Great communication skills. Fluent in English & Chinese
required.
