Moana Restaurant Group is seeking an established leader to oversee operations for our diverse collection of 5 Restaurants, Bars and Private Events operations in Downtown San Jose. ?This role will be pivotal in enhancing our current presence in the marketplace, ensuring excellent guest and team experiences.The Regional Manager will be the face of our emerging reputation in Downtown San Jose, as we expand our collection of restaurants and event spaces which cater to a variety of dining experiences. ?The Regional Manager has the opportunity to become a pillar within the restaurant community of San Jose, by leading the teams and operations to success.?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The role requires a self-starter who's ready to take on a new challenge and lead 5 exciting concepts in downtown San Jose. ?If you are an entrepreneurially minded operator who thrives on the challenge of constant betterment and leading teams to success, this may be the right place for you. ?You'll oversee & support the GMs of 5 locations (3 existing and 2 new) within the same block; guiding them to set the right goals, make good decisions and stay on track to improve operations, guest experience, and profitability. ??You'll be the point person for the various partners on the business, taking feedback, executing on projects and collaborating on capital improvement projects. ?You'll spend your days evaluating the operations from ?the inside? by becoming integrated into the operations. If rolling up your sleeves and jumping in is your style, this might be right for you. ?You will be working with the teams to advance improvements in product, service, process and physical plant. You will work closely with our Moana Operations Team, installing company initiatives and collaborating on new ideas and leveraging our home office support. ?You will build a team of private dining professionals who will handle the event sales for all venues. If this sounds like you, we'd like to meet you.The general responsibilities will include:Observe & inspect all properties daily - delivering improvement in product, service, property condition, efficiencies, etc.;Manage physical improvement projects for all properties; Actively participate in the operations during varied days and hours to provide awareness of opportunities and ensure your impact on the businesses; Assist Moana Ops team in the hiring of Managers for properties;Conduct training for management at properties;Manage process/product improvement projects at all properties;Act upon Moana Ops direction for P action items;Act as point person for property ownership feedback & inquiries; ?Act as point person for Moana feedback to GMs & Chefs.Oversee Event Sales DirectorQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function from the list above satisfactorily. ?The Regional Manager will have a strong GM background with heavy beverage/bar management experience and strong event management experience. ?Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive GM experience as well as 2+ years of multi-unit management experience. Experience managing opening(s) is preferred. The ideal candidate will be proactive, recognize the need ?and or opportunities is and will be comfortable to jump in and support the team. Assessing priorities and managing to success is essential to this role. This person will be firm, direct and confident enough to oversee all the GMs, make operation & management staffing decisions, challenge the managers on performance, but also diplomatic enough to be the point person with ownership and manage varied input and feedback. ?The Regional Manager will not be managing the floor at any of the properties as a regular duty, but they will work shifts to support the operations and assess the opportunities for improvement. Work conditions in certain areas of the restaurant/hotel can be hot, cold, wet, slippery and/or noisy. ?Frequent operation of computer and other office equipment, the ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time, writing/typing, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed, and to occasionally lift and carry heavy items up to 25 pounds (may be aided). ?Vision requirements: constant need to view computer screen, read reports and complete forms. Constant need to see small detail.
