The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (www.pescm.com)
is looking for RVTs or experienced technicians to join Surgery
Department, Monday- Thursday, 9AM-730PM.About PESCM: PESCM, located
in San Rafael, is the only 24/7 emergency and specialty practice in
Marin County. We continue to see record breaking cases in all
departments: Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology,
Urgent Care, Emergency, and Critical Care. Our mission is to serve

Veterinary Technicians at PESCM are responsible for a variety of
tasks related to customer service and patient care within the
veterinary practice. In addition to veterinary technician skills
such as patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter
placement, and phlebotomy, technicians in the Surgery department
will be responsible for the following:Solid technical skills and
anesthesia knowledge base, sound judgment, and the ability to
function both independently and with a team are requiredMedication
calculations and administration; digital radiography utilizing out
of room restraint techniques; patient prep and recovery; epidural
administration; anesthesia monitoring for a variety of anesthetized
procedures including: CT, soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, as
well as critical emergencies Assisting doctors during patient
appointments, providing outstanding client communication and
educationAdvocating for the patient, providing exceptional comfort,
diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care to all patientsKnowledge of
the equipment and materials used and their availability and
applicationUse of mechanical ventilators for anesthesiaMaintain
accurate treatment sheetsAbout You:RVT preferred but 2 years
experience minimum necessary Comprehensive understanding and
experience with anesthetic monitoringProficiency in processing
basic laboratory specimensWorking knowledge of anatomy and
physiology Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and
commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues,
clients, and community Positive outlook and ability to work well in
a collaborative environment.Excellent communication and
organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver
