The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (www.pescm.com)
has immediate openings for a blended shift in both the Internal
Medicine and Emergency and Critical departments, working closely
with our boarded specialists. These shifts are either Sunday-
Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday, permitting technicians the
opportunity to enhance their skills in both specialty departments.
From managing patients with chronic kidney disease and diabetes in
Internal Medicine to the stabilization of the HBC in emergency,
these shifts will enhance both your patient and critical care
skills. This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus!About PESCM:

specialty practice in Marin County. We continue to see record
breaking cases in all departments: Internal Medicine, Oncology,
Surgery, Neurology, Urgent Care, Emergency/Critical Care,

management software system, Ezyvet, which integrates with an iPad
accessible patient treatment sheet software, Smartflow, for a

this together! Veterinary Technicians at PESCM are responsible for
a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care
within the veterinary practice. In addition to veterinary
technician skills such as patient restraint, administering
medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, technicians in
the Internal Medicine and Emergency departments will be responsible
for the following:Set up CRIs and calculate medical mathPlace
indwelling urinary cathetersPlace jugular cathetersProvide quality,
compassionate care for hospitalized patientsPrepare and administer
transfusions: Blood, Plasma, AlbuminOperate scoping towers and
assist with US proceduresAssist in surgeries and other sedated
proceduresMaintain accurate treatment sheetsTake radiographs and
obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testingUse
of mechanical ventilators for anesthesiaProvide client education on
a wide range of at home careAbout You:RVT preferred but 2 years
experience minimum necessary Comprehensive understanding and
experience with anesthetic monitoringProficiency in processing
basic laboratory specimensWorking knowledge of anatomy and
physiology Understanding of normal vs abnormal physiologic ranges
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and
commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues,
clients, and community Positive outlook and ability to work well in
a collaborative environment.Excellent communication and
organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver
