He/she will participate in interviewing perspective employees, training and orienting new employees and when necessary participate in disciplinary actions. He/she will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating Imaging Services on a daily basis. He/she will be a team leader maximizing the skills within the group to reach a given objective. He/she will delegate responsibilities based on the abilities of staff members, organizational needs and priorities. As a role model, he/she will be a key player in the development of employees. He/she will evaluate employee performance thoroughly and objectively. In the absence of the Imaging Services Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for the standards, staff, leadership, and decision-making. The supervisor fosters a supportive, professional environment of physicians, staff, and patients. Every employee of Imaging Services at Emanuel Medical Center is expected to promote the mission and philosophy of the hospital by acting in a caring, courteous and confidential manner towards patients, visitors, colleagues, and staff by performing their duties and responsibilities according to the expected standards. Every staff technologist member of Imaging Services is expected to perform their duties and to accept the responsibility of the accuracy of their work as dictated in the professional standards for Registered Radiologic Technologists, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or Health Care Worker.
