Leading the future of health care Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group TPMG is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician (32 hrs/wk) to join our team in San Rafael, CA. Kaiser San Rafael Park is in beautiful Marin County and is part of the San Rafael Medical Center . There are 13 pediatricians who work here, and you would be part of the larger San Rafael Pediatrics department which also includes 7 Pediatricians in Petaluma. The San Rafael Park clinic is just off 101 and is located about 2 miles from the San Rafael Medical Center which includes a hospital and Emergency Room. Our San Rafael Park clinic has tremendous staff support, with 1:1 medical assistants, 3-4 LVN's, and 1-2 RN's daily. We take pride in our cooperative work environment and value every member of our team. The San Rafael Park clinic has a lab, pharmacy, and radiology suite all on site. The position is for an 0.8 FTE outpatient pediatrician in our general pediatrics clinic. This would likely be 4 days a week, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, but working half days is also an option. There is an expectation to work in our Pediatric Urgent Care clinic, based out of the San Rafael Park clinic site, on weekends and holidays. You are typically scheduled 7 days each year (9 am to 5 pm). We do not do any inpatient work or newborn nursery. We can access pediatric subspecialists at any time by phone and can videoconference with them as well. We are well resourced with a certified lactation specialists, as well as a Pediatric Health Educator, Pediatric Behavioral Medicine Specialist, and Pediatric Social Worker embedded into our San Rafael clinic, who you have full access to for patient care. We have a well-established CME program in place for continued learning opportunities. As an outpatient pediatrician, you will be seeing full scope (well care, urgent care, handling of in-basket secure messages). Visits can be either in-person, by phone, or video. We are a close-knit group who take pride in our friendly, collaborative work environment while giving excellent care to our patients. We typically lead the region (all the pediatric clinics in Kaiser Northern California) in patient and physician satisfaction scores. We are looking for a vibrant addition to join our team.
