Locum Tenens General Practice Physician (Correctional Health)
Sacramento County, CA Main Jail (MJ) & Rio Cosumnes Correctional
Center (RCCC) Position Highlights: Number of Openings: 5 Physicians
(M.D. or D.O.) Schedule: Day or night shifts Full-time or part-time
Set weekly schedule preferred Duration: Long-term contract (3
years) Minimum 6-month commitment Pay: $150/hour Malpractice
covered Patient Load: patients per day in clinic setting Role
Overview: Provide general medical evaluations and ongoing care to
the incarcerated population. Work within a multidisciplinary team
to ensure high-quality, compliant care. Requirements: Current CV
Active, unrestricted CA Medical License (with verification) DEA BLS
(American Heart Association) 3 professional references (name,
email, phone) Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family
Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Minimum 5 years of medical practice
experience Process: County interview (phone or in-person)
Credentialing & clearance: 3 4 weeks Provide availability
