Date: 03-02-2026 End Date: 06-01-2026 Contract Type: Travel
Contract Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00 AM - 7:00
PM; Night: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Schedule varies across the week,
includes every-other-weekend requirement and holiday rotation;
typical assignment guarantees 36 hours/week. Hours per Week: 36

people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate,
high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for low- and high-risk
patients Monitor fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring
systems and respond quickly to changes Collaborate closely with
OB/GYN teams, lactation consultants, and NICU colleagues to
optimize maternal and newborn outcomes Perform or assist with
scrubbing and intraoperative tasks when needed, supporting safe
deliveries Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner and Fetal
Link, ensuring clear communication of care Triage and manage
patients with common L&D diagnoses including preeclampsia,
preterm labor, and opioid use disorder Serve as a professional
bedside nurse in a locked, high-acuity unit with 1:1 to 1:3 ratios
as patient needs dictate Qualifications Current RN license
(California) in good standing Minimum 2 years of nursing
experience, with Labor & Delivery experience preferred Required
certifications: Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP; COVID vaccine
certification required Comfortable using Cerner and Fetal Link
electronic medical records Ability to float to Mother-Baby and
scrub when needed is a plus Familiarity with Level 3 NICU workflows
or experience collaborating with NICU teams preferred Education
Active RN license required (Associate degree or BSN acceptable).
BSN not required but may be preferred by some facilities Knowledge
& Skills Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and rapid clinical
decision-making Proficient charting in Cerner and use of central
fetal heart monitoring systems Hands-on skills for high-risk
obstetric scenarios (magnesium sulfate, PIH, preterm labor)
Excellent communication and teamwork with OB/GYN, IV team, RT, and
pharmacy Comfort working in an acute care, locked L&D setting
with flexible staffing ratios Ability to provide patient and family
