purpose of this position is to support the Multifamily Underwriter
in their evaluation of the credit worthiness of loan requests
covering both existing customers and new credit
relationships. More specifically, performing financial
analysis and commercial real estate cash flow calculations as well
as supporting the determination on the viability of each request.
The position holder supports the Underwriter, via analysis and data
entry, in the timely completion of the Credit Request for eventual
approval from Credit Management. The position reports to a senior
level Multifamily Underwriter.
- Review and
evaluate loan application packages for completeness.

- Support the
analyzation of borrower and key principal related tax returns and
financial statements, with a focus on the underlying real estate
cash flow calculations.
- Support the
preparation and completion of the Credit Request for submission to
Credit Management, which will recommend the approval, declination
and/or restructuring of a specific loan request.
- Assist in the
preparation and completion of Commitment Letters (as needed) to
ensure that the approval conditions imposed by Credit Management
are clear to all parties.
- Assist in the
reviewing and analyzation of various third party documents and
reports, including but not limited to, property financial
statements, rent rolls, appraisals, environmental and engineering
data, personal credit, title, escrow, borrowing entity structures,
Underwriter’s direction, partner with loan administrators to
identify title, insurance, zoning, entity, or other issues that
require analysis and resolution by the bank prior to approval,
documentation, and funding of a loan.
Underwriter’s direction, work with production team to acquire
sufficient information to make credit recommendations and to
address credit concerns.

School Diploma or GED required
literate and proficient in using Word, Excel, Outlook,
communication and interpersonal skills.

to take initiative, work on multiple transactions simultaneously
and meet completion time tables while maintaining targeted loan
experience in a Multifamily or Commercial Real Estate Lending
environment a plus.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area
