The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (www.pescm.com)
is looking for Full Time Veterinary Technicians to join our
Oncology department. While experience as a Veterinary Technician is
required, we will train the right candidate how to administer

the Job: As a Vet Tech in the Oncology department you will learn
how to:Prepare and administration of various chemotherapeutic
agentsProvide extensive client communication and education on
various oncology disease processesParticipate with the Oncologists
in-patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and
proceduresUtilize different modalities of imaging for patient and
procedural assessment.Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled
nursing care to all patients being a strong patient advocate during
the patient's hospitalizationAbout you:Minimum of 2 years of
experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required,
including basic understanding of anatomy and physiologyAccuracy in
calculating fluids, CRIs and medicationsProficiency in record
keeping related to medical procedures including daily treatments
administered, patient status, procedures completed, supplies used,
and anesthetic recordsReview and understanding of all medical
records pertinent to patient careProficiency in processing basic
laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic
techniques is requiredAbility to work in a highly collaborative
environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with
colleagues, clients, and community is required.Positive outlook and
ability to work well in a collaborative environment.Excellent
communication and organizational skills are required, and the
ability to deliver exceptional client service is expectedStrong
communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills;
proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a mustAbility
to work occasional holidays and weekends, and OT as neededHonesty,
